Winter going into spring is a time of transition. The days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer, and the plants are starting to bloom. It's a time of renewal and hope, as the landscape comes back to life after the long winter months.
The transition from winter to spring is a beautiful time of year for us all. It's a time to appreciate the beauty of nature and the cycle of life. I personally love the burst of colour the flowers bring in spring especially when our magnolia tree flowers.
Its also a busy time of year for Sophisticated Scratch as we gather in the fallen oak limbs for our seasoning shed.
It will take about 12-18 months for oak to season properly using this method before we can think about turning them into cat trees.
It's hard work harvesting oak limbs as they will have taken on a lot of moisture from winter months which makes them extremely heavy. Its always a bonus if we can get the vehicle near the fallen limbs but often we find ourselves trudging across fields on foot.

Wine Rack's & CoffeeTables
Besides creating oak cat furniture I also like to make wine racks and tables.
Handmade from English oak and totally bespoke, they come in very unique designs and make excellent gifts.
You will find coffee tables on the shop page at the bottom, wine racks will be available very soon too.
New Release's For April
We have 3 new releases for you this month 2 Sundra cat scratchers and a Serval cat tree.
SUNDRA ~ bigger than our Ocelot with a minimum height of 70cm with 12mm sisal suitable for breeds like Savannah F3+, Bengal, Birmin, British Shorthair and Persians.
Serval ~ A cat tree with 2 sleeping area's and this particular piece has been created by Mark handcrafted from Applewood.
This piece can accommodate a large breeds like a Maine Coon or Norwegian Forest on the top platform along with average size breeds.
Our cat trees arrive fully assembled ready for use, and we always deliver ourselves where possible.
