Handcrafted Botanical Woodcraft: Preserving the Devon Countryside in Oak

There is a specific kind of magic found in the Devon countryside. It’s in the way the morning mist clings to the moss-covered oaks and the way wild botanicals tucked into the hedgerows change with the passing seasons. For me, these aren't just landscapes; they are the literal "ingredients" of my work.

I am thrilled to announce the launch of my new collection. This isn't just a new page on my website; it’s an evolving gallery of HANDCRAFTED BOTANICAL WOODCRAFT, where the beauty of the English countryside is preserved forever in oak and resin.

The Art of Handcrafted Botanical Woodcraft: Foraged & Found

My journey with wood has always been about respect for the material. While my earlier work focused on the structural strength of the grain, my new collection explores a more delicate side of nature.

Every piece begins with a walk. I hand-pick the botanicals myself—the delicate ferns, the vibrant wildflowers, and the skeletal beauty of autumn leaves—ensuring that every element is ethically and sustainably sourced from the land I call home. By the time these botanicals are set into resin, they carry the story of a specific Devon afternoon.

The Strength of English Oak

To complement the fragility of a pressed flower, I use the most iconic of materials: Handcrafted Oak.

Known for its strength and timeless grain, the oak I select provides a grounding, architectural contrast to the fluid resin and organic botanicals. Whether it’s a bespoke wine rack or a statement small table, the wood is treated with the respect it deserves—sanded to a buttery finish that invites you to feel the texture of the grain.

A Growing Collection: Handcrafted & Highly Exclusive

Because every item is individually handcrafted and many of my first botanical pieces have already found their forever homes, the shop page is a "living" space. I don't mass-produce these; I wait for the right wood and the right season.

I am currently adding new one-of-a-kind items to the shop every single week. If you visit the page today, you’ll find our current focus on:

  • Artisan Side Tables: Statement pieces that use "river" resin techniques to bring a window of the forest floor into your living room.

  • Deep Sea & Botanical Coasters: Small-scale functional art that brings the textures of nature into your daily coffee ritual.

  • Handcrafted Wine Racks: Architectural oak pieces designed to display your collection with rustic elegance.

Coming Soon to the Bench: I am currently back in the workshop crafting the next run of our popular botanical clocks and charcuterie boards. Since these are created in small batches, they tend to fly off the shelves quickly!

A Legacy in Every Grain

Choosing a piece from our SOPHISTICATED WOODCRAFT range means investing in something that defies the "throwaway" culture of modern decor. These are heirloom pieces, born in the woods of Devon and finished by hand with a level of detail that only a true passion for woodcraft can produce.

I invite you to explore the new page, see the close-up textures of the botanicals, and find a piece of the countryside to call your own.
