The Jaguarundi Handcrafted Devon Oak Cat Scratcher is a one-of-a-kind functional sculpture designed to bring the natural beauty of the Devon countryside into your home while providing your feline companion with an instinctual, deeply satisfying scratch.

Lovingly handcrafted in our Devon workshop, this tall Jaguarundi piece celebrates the raw character, rich figure, and natural curvature of seasoned English Devon oak. Unlike lightweight, carpeted posts that wobble and topple, it features a substantial, solid oak slab base weighted for complete stability—giving even large, energetic cats the confidence to achieve a full, rewarding vertical stretch.

The organic, leaning branch follows the natural grain and graceful curve of the limb, mirroring a real tree in the wild. It is tightly bound in heavy-duty 12 mm thick natural sisal rope built to withstand everyday claws, while the exposed timber is finished with nourishing natural oils and sealed with a protective varnish to accentuate the lustrous golden oak grain. Natural checks and fissures have been meticulously stabilized and filled with black resin, ensuring a smooth, striking finish of true heirloom quality.

Because every branch and slab of Devon oak is shaped by nature, the Jaguarundi Handcrafted Devon Oak Cat Scratcher is completely unique. Once this individual piece is adopted, there will never be another exactly like it.

You can also complete your setup by choosing an optional handmade cat toy to accompany your scratcher: select between Rodney Rat or a Fluffball, crafted from genuine light or dark sheepskin.
